The course includes examples of complete system models that will show course attendees why clients should value and appreciate the technology backbone provided in their home.

707: How Lead Regulations Are Changing for Remodelers -- 1 credit -- C, Lead, RE

A new EPA lead paint rule will take effect April 2010 that is far reaching and will significantly change how all remodelers operate. If a remodeling project disturbs more than six sqft (interior) or 20 sqft. (exterior) of a painted surface in a residential structure built prior to 1978 the new rules apply. Come find out the ins and outs of this rule well before they are enforced to prepare your business.

BPS2: The Surprising Truth About Green - Choosing Commercial & Home Energy Equipement -- 1 credit -- C, RE

Due to today's energy concerns, this course is intended to help builders assist their customers in determining their best energy options. We will provide average equipment operation cost comparisons, as well as CO2 emission comparisons for available energy fuels, by comparing the “green” aspects of energy products. Upon course completion, residential and commercial builders will have “the facts” in order to help their consumers make educated, value-added energy decisions that allow for the best possible short and long-term impact to their bottom line as well as the environment.

BPS3: How Lead Regulations Are Changing for Remodelers -- 1 credit -- C, RE

A new EPA lead paint rule will take effect April 2010 that is far reaching and will significantly change how all remodelers operate. If a remodeling project disturbs more than six sqft (interior) or 20 sqft. (exterior) of a painted surface in a residential structure built prior to 1978 the new rules apply. Come find out the ins and outs of this ruleso that you can prepare your business well before it is enforced.

BPS4: Workouts, Debt Restructuring and Other Ways of Staying Financially Fit -- 1 credit -- C, RE
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
This class will analyze types of debt, workouts, strategies for limiting personal and corporate exposure, as well as provide examples of the "dos" and "don'ts" of handling debt in troubled financial times.

Fees:
Member: $13 per credit hour or $90 for all day
Non-member: $20 per credit hour or $125 for all day
Lunch is included.

Building Science and installation pertaining to foundation insulation, both inside and outside. Weather barrier solutions and installation focused on House Wrap, flashing, and window sills. Spray foam for gaps and cracks, fire blocks, windows, and doors. Spray foam for stud cavities.

1202: Advanced Warranty Law - Beyond the Basics -- 2 credits -- C, RE

This course explores in greater detail the coverages, exclusions and obligations arising under Minnesota home warranty laws. The course is designed to give the participants a practical approach to understanding and limiting exposure to warranty claims.

The best and worst of contract practices; from signing a contract to alternative dispute Resolution.
